A husband and wife from Bradford have been accused of Syria-related terrorism offences.
Ijaz and Afsheen Khan appeared at the Old Bailey today via video link charged with offences under the Terrorism Act.
Both were granted bail.
Ijaz Khan, 27, is charged with one offence under the Terrorism Act relating to the preparation of terrorist acts.
Afsheen Khan, also 27, is charged with the same offence.
Ijaz Khan was arrested in February last year for offences under the Terrorism Act at Manchester Airport.
Afsheen Khan was arrested in October year for offences under the Terrorism Act from her home address.
The investigation was carried out by North East Counter Terrorism Unit.
A CTU spokesman said the investigation was "intelligence led and there is no evidence to suggest that any communities are at immediate risk in connection with this operation."
The case has been adjourned until May 6 to Leeds Crown Court.
