Income at pubs and clubs could be boosted by a new instant-win lottery game launched by Horsforth-based Gamestec, the UK’s leading slot machine operator.
The firm has introduced the new machine, which will also raise money for good causes, in conjunction with Twylite Media Group, LLC and International Gamco of the United States.
The TabBOXX lottery ticket dispenser offers a top prize of £1,000 as well as smaller pay-outs and promotional offers.
The games will be launched through a number of leading pub companies with 20p from each £1 benefiting charities including The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
It is expected that about 4,000 of the new machines will be placed in pubs and clubs in the next three years.
Peter Davies, Gamestec business development director, said: “It is particularly apt that, in the first instance, the charity we are supporting is the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation as we believe many publicans will use TabBOXX to replace cigarette machines should the Government’s new UK Health Bill ban them.”
