A SILSDEN man is giving a top-level presentation in Parliament.

Dr Adrian Harwood will address politicians and a panel of expert judges on Monday about engineering research he has conducted.

The 29-year-old is taking part in the national STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for Britain competition.

Dr Harwood will outline his research into the development of an interactive environment for computer simulations, relating to aerodynamics in engineering design.

He was shortlisted from hundreds of applicants to present his work in Parliament.

“The presentation will allow me to communicate the importance of engineering to MPs and the general public alike,” said Dr Harwood, a research fellow at the University of Manchester.
