TWO local accountancy firms are merging to take advantage of synergies between their operations in a move they say would benefit clients of both firms.
Watson Buckle, based in Cottingley, is merging with Paul T Spivey CA Limited, which will now trade as Watson Buckle Limited.
Spivey’s clients will continue to be served by full-time staff member Sandra Robinson while Paul Spivey will become a consultant. The business will transfer to Cottingley where Watson Buckle employs 40 staff and directors.
Susan Sedgwick, Watson Buckle managing director, said: “This merger cements our reputation as the most well-established accountancy practice in Bradford and will ensure our new and existing clients continue to receive an attentive and personal service.”
Paul Spivey added : “This move is the next logical step for us and everyone is excited by the benefits this merger will bring for our clients.
“Merging with Watson Buckle allows our clients to access additional specialist services and expertise, which will enabling them to run their businesses even more effectively.”
