The University of Bradford is currently playing host to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s first education open-house business event.
Held in the university’s new re:centre, the three-day conference, which ends tomorrow, involves a series of seminars and lectures exploring what the circular economy can offer to education.
Professor Peter Hopkinson, director of the re:centre, said: “This event is testament to the strong relationship we have with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and our partnership developing the Innovation, Enterprise and the Circular Economy MBA.
“The new re:centre is an exciting and dynamic space designed for businesses to collaborate with the University. With this fantastic resource and our already established circular economy courses, we are already seeing relations with both local and global businesses develop and grow.”
The university also manages the online executive education introductory course on the circular economy for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's Circular Economy 100 business innovation programme. To date, more than 300 executives and leaders have gone through the course, including representatives from Ikea, Phillips, Coca-Cola and Renault.
