Network event A network for young professionals in Bradford is hosting an event for prospective new members. JCI Bradford will provide information about what they do and the opportunities they provide. There will be guest speakers, including the president of Bradford Chamber, Paul Mackie, and a buffet. A JCI spokesman said: “This event is for people who wish to improve and develop new skills and confidence that will assist them in their work and personal achievements.” It is at the Midland Hotel in Bradford on Monday, starting at 6.30pm. Prizes at double Start Sewing Now, based at Bradford’s Aire Valley Business Park, has scooped two top awards from Netmums, Britain’s biggest parenting website with more than 1.7 million members.

The UK-wide ‘Classes For You’ competition was launched to recognise people who run courses to serve and improve their local communities. Netmums Bradford editor Jane Hornby said: “We wanted to ensure the hardworking people who run classes for adults were not forgotten.”
