A new £1.7 million nursing home in Baildon has opened its doors to residents following the completion of a 14-month building project by Bingley-based QSP Construction.
The privately-owned Glen Nursing Home, on West Lane, will operate as a specialist dementia care home, with 56 bedrooms and state-of-the-art facilities such as reminiscence pods, a sensory room, cinema and hairdressing salon.
The Glen is the latest in a series of regional building projects won by QSP, and was built for The Glen Nursing Home Ltd, whose owners, the Holt family, have more than 30 years’ experience in the nursing home sector.
QSP director Andrew Walker said: “The Glen is a striking, purpose-built care home which reflects the exacting standards in construction we strive to achieve in all our projects.”
So far, the Glen has received reservations for 30 of its 56 bedrooms and expects to be fully booked by the summer.
Glen Nursing Home Ltd director Daniel Holt said: “We wanted a purpose-built modern facility to serve the people of Baildon, and we’re delighted with the final result. QSP overcame a number of challenges on site and have delivered an exceptional quality building.”
