More than £2,700 was raised through an online charity auction held by Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance, which is headed by Bradford-born boss Gerald Grimes. The money will go to the Leeds Community Foundation. Hitachi Capital also helped Spider-Y, a wheelchair- based sports group, to buy new sport wheelchairs and provide KICK Karate for inner-city children with funds to run self-defence courses.
