ST JAMES CHURCH: The next Fellowship meeting will be held on Monday at 2pm in the church hall, with speaker, afternoon tea, raffle and quiz. Admission will be £1. There will be a Hoot and Havoc Harvest supper on Saturday, October 20, at 7pm in the church hall with entertainment and raffle. Tickets cost £4 with children up to 15 admitted free. Tickets are available from Janice Brook or social committee.
Thornton ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY: On Wednesday, October 10, the group will have another musical session with Judy Blezzard. Her topic will be 'Music's Untrodden Paths' at 2pm in Thornton Community Centre.
THORNTON METHODIST: On Saturday, October 13, at 2.15pm a concert and afternoon tea will be held with the Palm Court Quintet and Singers. Admission is £5 in aid of church funds. Contact (01274) 832260.
