The public are being urged to help protect Rawdon greenbelt before it is too late.
Rawdon Billing Action Group is appealing to people to support the campaign to protect the land from development.
The group has submitted a report to Leeds City Council arguing the case for the retention of greenbelt status.
The action group was established to oppose development on Rawdon Billing and surrounding land – around 220 acres in total. The land, which is privately-owned, has been put up for sale. The group says a Leeds City Council review of greenbelt allocations could leave it under threat from development.
A spokesman urged people to write to the planning department and councillors in support of the retention of the greenbelt designation of the land.
