Texas singer-songwriter Danny Schmidt and singer Carrie Elkin bring their own brand of romantic artistry to Saltaire ’s Caroline Street Club next week.
They are a romantic partnership in real, not just musical life. Together on stage makes for a classic case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
Named in the Chicago Tribune's 50 Most Significant Songwriters in the Last 50 Years, Danny Schmidt has been rapidly ascending from underground cult status to being broadly recognised as an artist of greater significance.
The two will be sharing songs back and forth, lending their voices to each other's tunes, in harmony and lending commentary in between-song banter.
The concert, on October 5, starts at 8pm. Tickets from Saltaire Bookshop or theliveroom.info.
