Police spent 30 minutes observing driving at a well-known roundabout after receiving reports of inconsiderate driving.
Earlier this week, the T&A reported concerns had been raised about motorists performing dangerous manoeuvres to change lanes at the last minute to avoid traffic at Odsal roundabout.
Yesterday, officers went along to the location to see the problems for themselves. Afterwards, Inspector Alan Rhees-Cooper (pictured) said: “My officers spent 30 minutes this morning observing traffic at this roundabout.
“My assumption was most vehicles in the wrong lane would travel down Halifax Road. However, this was not the case. Three vehicles in the wrong lane did travel down Halifax Road as expected, but four vehicles cut right across the traffic and travelled up towards Wibsey .
“Even worse, six vehicles started in the left-hand lane and then went all around the roundabout and back down Rooley Avenue. We have registration numbers and we will be contacting all the drivers.”
