NHS Bradford and Airedale, the body responsible for commissioning healthcare services for people living in the district, has published its final annual report.
Since its inception in 2006, the organisation has worked to ensure the best and most appropriate healthcare services are available to everyone who needs them and that services are safe, high-quality, effective and accessible.
In the last year it received £930 million to make sure 549,000 residents could get the healthcare they needed.
The Primary Care Trust met all of its financial targets and reported a surplus of £8.165million (0.88 per cent of resources) which will be carried forward to invest in future years.
Performance highlights for 2011/2012 include a £1.5 million boost for social care, a new dental practice in Manningham and the development of a new service to help young people with an eating disorder be treated at home.
