Bradford born Ian Beesley has been awarded the distinguished Honorary Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
The award was presented at RPS International awards ceremony at the Royal Society in London.
The award is offered annually to individuals who have made significant contributions to the art and science of photography.
Ian was awarded a fellowship as recognition of his significant and continuing commitment to social documentary photography. He is known internationally for his work on the demise of industrial society and its effect on communities.
Beesley is now course leader for the MA in Photography at the University of Bolton .
