A police investigation is underway after a 68-year-old woman died following a two-car collision in Ilkley .
The woman was a passenger in a Mercedes C240, which was in collision with an Opel Kadet in Hangingstone Road last night.
She was taken by ambulance to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) but later died.
The 70-year-old driver of the Mercedes was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and was kept in for observations.
The 37-year-old male driver of the Opel was also taken to BRI with chest and leg injuries.
A police spokesman said he remained in hospital in a stable condition this morning.
A 46-year-old female passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The road was closed for more than three hours following the accident at 5.10pm.
It was re-opened at 9pm.
The spokesman said enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
