Bradford University has been chosen as a partner for a Higher Education Support initiative to nurture social enterprise.

Over the next 12 months the university will work with UnLtd on their Higher Education initiative to develop a support structure for entrepreneurs on campus.

Staff and students with sustainable business plans have been invited to apply for one of three funding awards: Try It, Do It and Build It, to regenerate the local business community.

Rizwan Seedat, enterprise coach at the university, said: “I am delighted that the University of Bradford has been chosen to partner with UnLtd and Higher Education Funding Council for England to encourage social entrepreneurship amongst staff and students alike. Funding and support for new business ideas and community projects has been hard to come by of late.”
