Changes to strict conditions that allowed the recycling of construction and demolition waste at a quarry near Bingley look set to be approved next week.

An application by Skipton Properties to fill in Midgeham Cliff Edge Quarry, near Harden , with non-recyclable material from imported construction and demolition waste, and produce recycled aggregates at the site, was approved earlier this year.

Now the company is asking for three conditions attached to the original bid to be altered.

This includes extending the operation hours by 30 minutes in the morning, relaxing a restriction on recycled aggregate outputs, and simplifying a condition imposing record-keeping requirements.

Bradford Council’s regulatory and appeals committee is being recommended to approve the changes when it meets on Tuesday at 10.30am in City Hall.
