Keighley ’s new champion for the over-50s aims to protect groups that provide a lifeline for older people.
Julie Lintern is the new older people’s development manager at Keighley and Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action. She carried out a similar role at Bradford Older People’s Assembly.
She said: “In my previous role I was becoming increasingly aware of older people’s groups disbanding due to lack of funding, volunteers and participants.”
