An 80-year-old man has been charged with murdering his wife.
Clem Callaghan is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court today accused of killing 76-year-old Eileen, whose body was discovered at the couple’s home in Ivy Bank Lane, Haworth , on the morning of Sunday, August 5.
The previous night, Mr Callaghan had been taken to Airedale Hospital in Steeton after being found unconscious at the wheel of his car in Keighley Road, Colne, Lancashire.
Detectives, who had been waiting until he was well enough to be interviewed, charged him last night.
