Fourteen people have been arrested by police investigating a brawl in Killinghall Road, Undercliffe , Bradford, on Wednesday, August 1.

And Inspector Andrew Gallant, of Bowling, Barkerend and Bradford Moor Neighbourhood Policing Team, pledged police will respond robustly to any outbreaks of street violence.

He said: “When it was established that two groups of people had decided to sort out their differences in the street I made it my way to deliver the right message to the community.

“Information provided by residents led to the arrest of 14 suspects who have since been questioned and bailed pending further inquiries. Reassurance patrols have been carried out by my team.”

Insp Gallant said the investigation had taken some of his officers off their regular patrols but it was important to protect law-abiding citizens. He said: “I am determined to deliver to those people going about normal daily business the robust policing response they expect.”
