A procession was led by young people in fancy dress at Wilsden Gala yesterday.
Youngsters at Jennifer’s Dancekool led the gala’s procession, which returned after a two-year absence.
Residents had been invited to trim up a bike, pram, scooter or skate-board to join in the event for the gala, which featured a falconry display, swingboats and goblin archery, along with a performance stage featuring music and dance.
The gala, which featured the crowning of the gala queen, an ice cream stand, beer tent, games and Wilsden Band, was cancelled last year through a lack of support but was organised this year by the Advance Church.
