Bradford Bulls fans are being offered help by the supporters' group trying to rescue Portsmouth’s football club from financial ruin.
They have contacted Supporters Direct, the national body set up to encourage more community ownership of professional clubs. And the Pompey Trust - who are currently bidding to buy their own debt-ridden football team - have been in touch with their own advice.
Trust chairman Scott McLachlan has urged the Bulls fans group to get financial professionals on board.
He said: "I’m sure there are Bradford fans that work in accountancy law. You need to put out an appeal to get those people involved first.
"A lot of the issues that they will be tackling will be minefields and it will be impossible if you haven’t got that expertise.
"First of all, they need to find out what sort of CVA (creditors agreement) can be delivered and what sort of sums need to be raised.”
