A variety of buskers will return to Bradford’s city centre streets this summer after the attraction proved a hit with visitors last year.

Dozens of acts have been invited by Bradford Council to perform on Saturdays in New Market Place, Darley Street and Northgate from tomorrow until the end of July.

This weekend the acts will be folk and country acoustic singers Luke Scott Dumper, Kurt Wood and Bella Gaffney.

Future artists include Bradford five-piece Wilful Missing, Haworth singer Tim Moon and performers from Bradford College.

Council leader Councillor David Green said: “We were very pleased with how the buskers and street performers were received last year and are looking forward to a repeat this year. It helps to entertain shoppers and visitors and I urge everyone to come and see them in action.”

Acts will be appearing between 11am and 4pm.
