Children and staff at a primary school are celebrating an Ofsted report which praises its “inspirational leadership” and outstanding pupil behaviour.

The inspectors single out Haworth Primary School for its “exceptional” curriculum, and say the school does more than normal to provide pupils with invaluable life skills.

Haworth Primary headteacher Janet Parkinson said: “We are delighted at Ofsted’s findings and are very pleased with this positive evaluation which is the result of the dedication and hard work from our whole school community.

“In the letter from the inspectors to the pupils they praised them for the way they took care of each other and let them know that ‘the curriculum is first class’.”

Councillor Ralph Berry, Bradford portfolio holder for Children and Young People’s Services, said: “This is a testimony to the hard work of all those involved.”
