If you go down to the woods this holiday you’ll find campfire cooking, den-building and swing-making.
If you are aged from five to 11, you will also be able to whittle wood and play capture the flag during your time at St Ives estate.
The country park at Harden, near Bingley, is hosting a forest school, organised by Get Out More, during the Spring Bank school holiday.
Community interest company Get Out More, run by Haworth woman Annie Berrington, provides outdoor play and learning in the woods.
Annie said: “We’d like to invite children to come for the day and sample what forest school is all about. We’re sure they’re going to love the mix of games, art, activities and den-building and the freedom of playing outside.”
The taster day will be held tomorrow, from 10am to 2pm and costs £12.
