Yorkshire soap Emmerdale is going live to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The ITV show – which includes Bradford actors Natalie Anderson, Matthew Wolfenden, Kitty McGeever, Jack Downham and Sam Hall in its cast – will mark the anniversary with a week of special episodes in October.
In one episode, the soap will go live for the first time.
Series producer Stuart Blackburn says the celebration will be “must-see TV featuring two weddings, one of which will be the most unexpected we have ever seen, plus the birth of two babies.”
