The Bradford Industrial Museum was due to play host to six University of Bradford students today as they were awarded the Benjamin Jowett Memorial Scholarship.
A presentation was due to be held in the transport gallery, featuring a model of every Jowett car built, where each of the students will be presented with a £500 cheque by John Illingworth and Jenny Reavill, members of the Jowett family.
Professor Alastair Wood, dean of the university’s School of Engineering, Design and Technology, said: “These scholarships enable us to annually recognise the achievements of our degree students and are a fitting tribute, encouraging the next generation of automotive engineers in Bradford.”
