The Care Quality Commission has issued a formal warning to Park Homes UK Limited, stating they must make urgent improvements to standards of care at Claremount Care Home in New Street, Farsley, or face further action.

The warning follows an unannounced visit by inspectors on March 12.

Medicine administration records were examined in respect of a number of service users and the Commission was not satisfied the medication had been given as prescribed. Signatures did not appear on the records.

Adam Brown, for the CQC, said: “This warning sends a clear and public message to Park Homes UK Limited that they need to address this issue as a matter of urgency or face serious consequences. Our inspectors will return to Claremount Care Home in the near future and if we find that it is not making the required progress we won’t hesitate to use our legal powers to protect the people who use this service.”
