It’s all aboard the Alhambra panto, as the host of TV’s Coach Trip, Brendan Sheerin, joins the cast of this year’s show.
The popular tour guide will play Baron Hardup, the father of the Ugly Sisters in Cinderella.
He joins Alhambra stalwart Billy Pearce as Buttons and actress and Loose Women panelist Lynda Bellingham as the Fairy Godmother.
Leeds-born Sheerin is known to viewers of Channel 4’s hit reality show Coach Trip as the jovial tour guide who tries to keep the peace between rival passengers.
He said: “Cinderella is certainly a different kind of Coach Trip for me, but I’m very much looking forward to joining Billy Pearce and Lynda Bellingham in this year’s Alhambra pantomime.
“I’m so pleased to be taking to the stage back home in Yorkshire this Christmas.”
Cinderella runs at the Alhambra from Saturday, December 15, to Sunday, February 3, 2013.
