Ten staff from the Co-operative Food store in Queensbury, along with four friends, have got a permanent reminder of their support of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Store manager Mandy Heywood was joined by her store team and friends at DistInktions in Shelf to get matching pink ribbon tattoos on their wrists, to mark their charitable support.
The store has chosen Marie Curie Cancer Care as its charity of the year and shoppers can donate to the cause by sponsoring the store staff, or in-store throughout the year.
Mandy said: “Getting tattoos is obviously a big decision, but Marie Curie’s work is very dear to all our hearts and we are 100 per cent dedicated to raising as many funds as we can for the charity.”
Helen Rowlands, Marie Curie Cancer Care community fundraiser, said: “It costs around £3.3 million a year to run the Marie Curie Hospice, Bradford, and the support we receive from businesses such as The Co-op and their generous customers is extremely important to us.”
