Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old boy was robbed of his phone.
The victim was walking home from school when he was approached in Leylands Lane, Eccleshill, by two men who grabbed him and demanded his property.
The boy gave them his mobile phone, but the men fled when challenged by the occupants of a silver car.
The victim was left shaken but uninjured in the incident, which happened at 4.30pm on Monday.
His attackers were described as Asian men. One was wearing a blue tracksuit with red stripes down the sleeves and the other a black tracksuit with the hood up.
Witnesses should contact Detective Constable Alison Hanson on (01535) 617085, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
