Police are on the hunt for four men following reports of an attempted break in at a home.
Officers were called to Bradford Road, Gomersal, at 2.35pm today by residents who reported four men in dark clothing who had just tried to break into their house.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the back door was damaged in the incident although nothing had been taken.
He said the four men were seen running off towards the Birkenshaw roundabout.
Officers and the police helicopter were this afternoon searching for the men.
Witnesses, or anyone with any information, have been asked to contact Dewsbury CID on the non-emergency number 101.
