A boy with a rare genetic condition which meant he could not eat until he was five years old, is joining his family and other fundraisers for a sponsored walk in aid of the charity that helps him.
Harry Beck (above), 13, of Idle, Bradford, is one of only two people in the UK with a particular type of myotubular myopathy, which causes muscle weakness and complications with breathing and swallowing.
This year’s Hope Walk is on Sunday, May 13. Anyone wanting to take part is asked to meet at the Railway Hotel, Rodley, at 10.30am. The walk will start at 11am, following the canal towpath to Apperley Bridge.
