Firefighters rescued a man from a river after he slipped and fell in as he made his way home from the pub.
The 41-year-old plunged from a path beside the River Calder off Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, into the water. A woman heard his shouts for help and raised the alarm, and emergency services were called shortly after 1.30am on Saturday.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital for a check up, but was uninjured.
