Northern Soul DJ Ginger Taylor is the special guest at a music session in Bradford tomorrow.
Mr Taylor has been a big name on the Northern Soul scene for four decades and is in demand as a DJ around Europe.
He said: “I’ve got fond memories of Bradford. I used to DJ at Queen’s Hall, and in the early 1970s a phenomenal amount of Northern Soul records came from Bradford’s markets. “When I started out there was a big scene in Bradford; there was always a nucleus from there travelling to the Wigan Casino.”
Mr Taylor is one of the DJs at the Northern Soul session at the New Beehive pub on Westgate tomorrow from 2pm to 9pm. Others include Steve Burke, Jeff Robinson and Jan.
