A pensioner found dead in his caravan had been cured of the cancer he was about to have radiotherapy for, an inquest was told.
Thomas Gerry, 77, who lived at Dalesbank Caravan Site in Low Lane, Silsden, was found sat in his chair after a neighbour looked through the window wanting to speak to him about spending Christmas Day together.
Mr Gerry, who died on or about December 22 last year, had been diagnosed with prostrate cancer in July that year but for personal reasons had put off his radiotherapy and had hormonal treatment instead.
Postmortem tests showed there were no signs of the localised cancer and he was free from the disease.
He had complained to his boss about feeling his heart fluttering but the inquest heard because of decomposition a definite cause of death was not ascertained.
Acting Bradford Coroner Professor Paul Marks said on the balance of probabilities about what Mr Gerry had said to his boss, it would be likely he had suffered an abnormality of the heart and recorded that his death was from natural causes.
