A Keighley pub is toasting its success after being named pub of the season by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra). The Brown Cow, in Cross Leeds Street, received the Keighley and Craven Camra Spring Pub of the Season accolade.
It is the fourth time the hostelry has won a seasonal prize. Licensees Barry and Carol Smith have also previously picked up a Pub of the Year and regional runner-up honour.
Paul Morris of Camra (pictured above presenting the award to the couple) said: “In picking the winner of this award our members look for excellent beer quality, customer service, customer mix and value for money.
Barry and Carol deliver all these and more. The Brown Cow is a great pub with a really friendly atmosphere.”
