A man serving a six-year prison sentence for his role in a £5 million Bradford-based drugs plot had made only £100 out of his crime and had assets of just £1, a Court heard.
Adam Jordan returned to Bradford Crown Court from jail, with co-accused Iftikhar Khan, yesterday for a Proceeds of Crime Application hearing.
Jordan, 25, of Rochdale, was locked up for six years at Leeds Crown Court in September for his part in a conspiracy involving drugs being imported, distributed and supplied in and out of Bradford to Greater Manchester and Holland.
Judge Robert Bartfield made a nominal confiscation order in Jordan’s case after hearing from the Crown he had no money.
Jordan must stump up £1 in 28 days or face another day in jail in default.
The court heard his role in the drugs plot was to be paid £100 to pretend to be a passenger in a taxi.
Khan, 35, also of Rochdale, is serving an eight-year sentence. The court was told the Crown suspected he had assets of a house and a car.
His case was adjourned until May 28.
Jordan and Khan were arrested in February 2010 by officers from Greater Manchester Police in possession of five kg of heroin.
