Bradford City football player Will Atkinson took time out yesterday to help pupils at Heaton Primary School with their Sport Relief activities.
He spent about an hour at the school in Haworth Road to see Year Five and Six pupils show off their soccer skills.
He then watched as Heaton Primary School children were joined by children at Chellow Heights Special School and the Acorn Centre, to run their Sport Relief mile and helped collect Sport Relief charity donations.
Headteacher Zoe Mawson thanked the player for attending and Bradford City for allowing him time off.
“He was such a positive role model for our children,” she said. “It was good for them to see someone so vibrant.”
