A teenager was hit in the eye before his wallet was stolen.
Police are appealing for information about the incident in Mann Dam Park, off Brooke Street, Cleckheaton, between 4pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, March 8.
The 19-year-old was approached by the suspect who without warning hit him in his left eye.
The suspect took his wallet and made off down a dirt track towards a main road.
A police spokesman said officers want to speak to a white man aged 20 to 24 in connection with the incident. He is skinny, 5ft 6ins and with dark brown hair. He was wearing a khaki woollen hat with a peak, grey jogging bottoms tucked into a pair of dark blue Umbro socks and a dark blue Nike zip-up jacket on top of a fleece hooded top.
