A 26-year-old man has appeared in Court in connection with a blaze which caused damage valued at £1,000 to a village shop.
Tyrone Jeffers appeared before a district judge at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court yesterday, speaking only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
He was charged with committing arson at Village Stores, Main Street, Addingham, between April 3 and April 7 last year.
He also faced a charge of stealing cigarettes and alcohol valued at £3,100 from the shop during the same period.
Jeffers, of Roberts Avenue, Leeds, will appear at Bradford Crown Court on Thursday, March 29, for a plea and case management hearing.
