A village is planning to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style.
More details about a number of events being planned to mark the occasion in Pool-in-Wharfedale have been revealed in the latest edition of the parish council’s newsletter.
A village dance, year book, garden, home or business decoration competition, and a family-focused fun afternoon to tie in with Pool Feast are just some of the activities being lined up.
Looking ahead to events in the village this year, the newsletter says: “We hope you will join us in the many social events that are planned over the four days of Jubilee celebration, running from Saturday, June 2, until Tuesday, June 5.”
Anyone interested in helping with any of the events, or joining the Jubilee Group, can contact clerk Lis Moore by e-mailing poolparishcouncil@gmail.com, or calling (01943) 465146.
