Bradford Bulls rugby league stars are encouraging runners to sign up for the Epilepsy Action Bradford 10K road race.
Players Olivier Elima and Manase Manuokafoa joined representatives of the charity in Centenary Square to pledge their support for the event on Sunday, March 25.
Mr Elima, back row forward for the squad, said: “It is a fantastic event for the city. With 2012 being the Olympic year the run is a great opportunity for people across Bradford to get into the sporting spirit while supporting a great cause.”
About 1,500 runners will take to the streets of Bradford for the run from Centenary Square to Frizinghall and back.
Katie Stocks, fundraising events officer at the charity, said: “We’re delighted that the Bradford Bulls have continued to support this event. We hope people across Bradford will show their support too by taking part, supporting runners or volunteering on the day.”
Entry costs £18, or £16 for runners affiliated to a UK athletics club.
The run is supported by Airedale Athletics, who will provide runners with training tips and training clinics.
