Police today made an urgent appeal for witnesses to a road crash in Bradford which claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl.
The teenager died as a result of her injuries after she and a 16-year-old boy were in an accident with a LDV van as they crossed Tong Street, near Knowles Lane, at 4.25pm yesterday.
The boy was today in a serious but stable condition at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Police had originally believed dead female was aged 20. Her name was not being released until relatives have been informed.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information should contact the Major Collision and Enquiry Team at West Yorkshire Police on the non emergency number 101.
Meanwhile an 11-year-old boy, who suffered a head injury in a road crash yesterday, remained in a serious condition in BRI today.
The boy, named locally as Luckman Hussain, and a 13-year-old male friend were in an accident with a Ford Focus as they crossed Barkerend Road at the junction with Killinghall Road at 3.50pm.
Witnesses should contact PC Kevin Shaw at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on non emergency number 101.
