Firefighters have warned of the potential dangers of tea-lights after a blaze in a Bradford house.
Crews were called to Reynolds Avenue in Scholemoor where a bedroom was “gutted” by fire on Thursday at 12.30pm.
A spokesman for the Fairweather Green fire crew who attended said the candles should be placed on hard surfaces but not plastic.
He added: “Although they are small they generate a lot of heat and can melt through plastic.”
