A police investigation is under way into the cause of a fire which left two people needing hospital treatment.
Two people, including a 55-year-old woman, were taken to Airedale Hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation following a blaze in Eastburn in the early hours of Friday.
They had escaped from a burning cottage in Main Road. They have since been discharged.
Three crews from Keighley and Silsden raced to the scene and spent nearly three hours dampening down the living room and ground floor.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident after being called in by fire investigators.
A spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing by Airedale and North Bradford CID to determine whether the fire is suspicious or not.”
Keighley watch commander Gary Davies said: “We sent in six firefighters with breathing apparatus.
“The fire was at its fiercest in the living room area but flames were going up the staircase.”
The building was extensively damaged.
