A 21-year-old man, charged with arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered following a fire at the block of flats where he lives, has been further remanded in custody.
Nathanial Wachnuik, who is accused of setting fire to his flat at Rochester Street, Windhill, Shipley, appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
He was remanded in custody to appear for a plea and case management hearing on March 16, with a four-day trial expected to take place from May 28.
His barrister, Simon Perkins, said Wachnuik would be denying the offence and said there would be a bail application within ten days.
Wachnuik was rescued by neighbours from the blazing living room of his Incommunities flat.
He was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation after his rescuers kicked the door down.
