Greenroyd Mill, Sutton, redevelopment
A council has picked up an award for its work regenerating a former mill.
Craven District Council was honoured for the Greenroyd Mill development in Sutton.
It received a trophy in the collaborative and partnership working category at the Making a Difference in Yorkshire and Humber Awards 2011.
The awards recognise workers and front-line staff from councils, police, and fire and national park authorities making a difference to the lives of local people.
Greenroyd, a derelict textile mill, was redeveloped in an £8m scheme providing 65 homes. The mill was originally purchased by a private developer to turn into housing, but the project stalled in 2008. The council stepped in, working with partners to save the project.
