A charity dance night is aiming to raise £1,500 for an emergency medical relief charity.
Ilkley resident, Dr Emily Muirhead, is inviting people to enjoy disco, reggae and rare grooves at Bongo 4 at the Hollygarth Social Club on Leeds Road, Ilkley.
Previously known as Bongo for the Congo, three previous events have raised £3,800, and Dr Muirhead hopes this year’s party night, on Saturday, February 4, will raise a record £1,500 for the charity Merlin.
The organisation sends medical experts to global emergencies, responding to humanitarian crises such as the Rwandan genocide, Haiti earthquake and Asian tsunami.
Tickets for Bongo 4 cost £10 and can be booked by making a £10 donation online at justgiving.com/bong4, leaving your name which will be on a list on the door.
Tickets are also available by e-mailing emily. muirhead@gmail.com
