Flood alerts have been put in place by the Environment Agency on parts of the rivers Aire and Wharfe in the Bradford district after heavy overnight heavy continued into the early morning today.
River levels have peaked and are expected to gradually fall throughout the day but some washlands and low-lying areas are expected to be under water for several days, the agency has said.
